About
ControlTheoryPro.com
ControlTheoryPro.com is a website founded to fill in the gaps. There are several web resources that provide pieces of control systems theory, practical advice, and derviations from text books. Few provide these pieces in a conherent manner. None are comprehensive.
Filling in the gaps
After working for some time as a systems engineer on the Guidance, Navigation & Control subsystem of the International Space Station and as a mechanisms control engineer (mostly line-of-sight pointing controls) for several years I found the online resources lacking. Wikipedia and Wikibooks have pieces parts. Some are written well some are just rewrites of text books. Examples are few and far between and complex examples are almost non-existant. (Not that ITAR and Export Control laws help matters any.)
The wiki at ControlTheoryPro.com provides theory, practical application, and examples with Simulink models and MATLAB code included. The models aren’t terribly complex but they aren’t simplistic either. I do have to be wary of crossing that fuzzy line drawn by ITAR and Export Control laws.
Aerospace & Control Systems Consulting
Let me help you manage risk
The Aerospace industry has a lot of ups and downs. One year no federal agency can do without your product or service. The next year they don’t need you. This leaves companies constantly chasing the next proposal and the next new technology. And there’s a lot of risk involved in that chase.
Chasing an RFP in new technoology area can be expensive when you factor in hiring new people with the expertise necessary just to pursue the latest proposal. I can provide your company the necessary expertise when you need it without the added expensive of the hiring process, benefits packages, or a salary while you wait to find out if you’ve won the contract.
As a client you receive the best from me everyday.
And you get my best without having to pay benefits or a salary when there is a lull in work.
As a consultant I am chasing new work all the time and I am working – usually – short assignments. This allows me to bring a fresh perspective and fresh curiosity to every project. Let me bring new ideas to your next proposal or program.
